Thursday, March 7, 2013

Ok, so this might be a little fudged. I actually saw it first on Stephanie's post at A Beautiful Mess for Saw it, Pinned It, Did it. So I pinned that image then did it. Same diff right?

So here are her mugs that I pinned...

Back story why these amazed me..I have a bff that lives across the country. Yes, literally. She's in Cali and I'm here in NJ. And to say I miss her is an understatement. So I thought how perfect for two BFFs who love their coffee?!

What you need:
2 Mugs (I got mine from the Dollar Store)
State outlines (I went here for mine)
Some eyeliner, lip liner or something equivalent...yes really.
Sharpie (I used black but Stephanie incorporated some red in there)
An Oven
Packing to ship it off!

1. Find the outlines of your two states, print out and cut down to fit your mugs.
I used New Jersey(me) and California(her).

2. Trace the outline of each state with your eye liner, lip liner, or whatever you have.

3. Once you do that, press the lip liner side onto the cup and press down. It should transfer so you see the outline of the state.

3. Pick up your sharpie and get drawing!

4. Find your location on your state and draw a heart and then do the same for your BFF. You can then be creative and draw your dotted line however you see fit. Make sure to place the mugs together to make the line flow.

5. You can then put something inside the rim or on the outside. I chose to write 'Miss You' on each mug and then our initials.

Yes, 'k' and 'k', we were meant to be. Actually, "Kris" and "Kris". Fate.

5. Bake your mugs in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes so they are able to be washed and drank out of.

6. Send it off to your long distance BFF! Mine loved hers and I know I will most definitely drink out of this on the days I miss her especially so.

  1. I have been meaning to do this for my bestie who lives in Chicago. How have the mugs turned out after a couple of washings? I have heard some people say the markings came off.

  2. Reading your blog for the first time and already love your first post. Can't wait to do this for my best friend!

  3. Oh my gosh, these are fantastic. My best friend moved away a few months ago and I miss her dearly. I'm definitely making these for her!!!

  4. This is a more compact circular saw than the typical worm-drive saw. As the name suggests, the cutting blade is directly attached to the motor.screwdriver power

  5. Like the temporary worker saw they have worm gear driven sharp edge tilting frameworks and bigger cast iron tables. Numerous half and half saws can be fitted with table expansions to make cutting bigger sheets less demanding.

  6. For cutting expansive marble and rock pieces, stone saws are utilized. There are 2 principle assortments of stone saws - overhead rail saws and track saws. click for info
