Our Honeymoon in Kauai Day 1: Relaxin & Lovin It

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

To be fair, technically, this was our day 2. However, thanks to United Airlines we were delayed about 5 hours for our arrival into Kauai on our first day. Needless to say, our 10 hour trip turned into a 16 hour trip. Cranky pants might have been had.

So that 6 hours left of that day consisted of getting to our hotel, ordering room service and sleeping off our jetlag. But hey, we got to wake up in Hawaii!! And that's why I like this as our Day 1.

*warning: all these posts will be very picture heavy. But you'll love it, I promise!

Our View. I could get used to this.

Our breakfast view. Delicious food!

We're in Hawaii!!

"Check out my breakfast PIZZA!"

Me being healthy at least in the beginning with whole wheat pancakes.

After our delicious and beautiful first breakfast in Hawaii, we made a trip to the local Wal-Mart. Had to get the staples like water, snacks, Hawaiian wine, beer, etc., etc.

This honeymoon was a chance for us to relax and get away since we haven't been on vacation since our engagement so the first day we decided to not do anything but hang out by the pool, drink and have a relaxing time. And it was glorious.

Rockin' the beehive.

Our first of MANY Mai Tais. Hawaii loves their Mai Tais

Anddd we made it to this point.

Mango something or other. Delish!

The way to the beach

Blue skies and palm trees.

Then comes the five minute storm.

My husband hanging out poolside.

And sadly, I did not get any pictures of our first dinner in Hawaii. I am disappointed in myself too.

Come back for Day 2. We might be drinking more but you will have to wait and see!

  3. We got delayed on our way to Hawaii as well. Our 12 hour travel turned into 24 hours of travel. We were so so exhausted and disoriented when we got there. Hawaii itself totally makes up for it though... and their mai tais... delish!
