Haaave you met Baby Brianne :)

Thursday, October 27, 2011

So I'm going to do two things. One, ignore the fact the last post was so long ago. And two, ignore the fact the last post was about me getting into running again....

Moving right along.

I would like to introduce you to Baby Brianne.
It all started when we ventured to the house in Harmony to do a final cleaning of our belongings in anticipation for the closing. I noticed the large canvas of baby Brianne sitting next to the front door. I then thought it was necessary for baby Brianne to be looking out the window and got a kick out of it.

Well, then the rest was history. Brian took a picture with it then I picked it up then I ran with it. Literally.

Commence baby Brianne's adventures around 3 Richline Road and perhaps beyond.....

Here's where it started to rain so we had to improvise.
Disclaimer: The actual 27 year old Brianne featured in this picture was not present for any of these pictures nor knew what mischief we were up to :)

(Did you get the How I met Your Mother reference? Anyone?)

Run, Baby, Run

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Today I started running again. And it was ROUGH.

The past few months my running routine has faltered due to moving, packing, unpacking and just my excuses. So it's time to put aside the excuses and start the running again and getting back into shape.

To try to help my goals, I went in search of those cool apps that track your miles. But alas on my handy dandy Blackberry, no such luck. Therefore, my running routine has to be by minutes I guess.

Todays time : 15 mins
How I felt: My lungs were on fire. Seriously.

I'm still not sure if I should jump back in full force ie: every day right away orrrr slowly ie: every other day. The way my lungs responded today I am thinking the best way to go is with every other day. Or maybe a two day then rest situation. I will keep you updated.

My theory is if I write about what I'm doing/not doing, it will make me more aware of how much of a bum I am being and it's time to run.

Tweet tweet tweet

I am disappointed in myself. On one of my very infrequent requests to twitter the other day I noticed my statistics on the right side of the screen. I only have 250 tweets?! What?! This upsets me for various reasonsm the first is that I started my tweeting two years ago. One of the first to know what twitter was (on my small world anyways) and I have the least tweets! The second reason is my love for social media and social networks. Come one I blog and post on facebook about my blog. I have set up social media presence for a new companym serious disappointment. Therefore, I am on a mission to get to 1,000 tweets by the time Christmas comes. And I must say I have made a serious dent in the past few days. Posting useless information, my thoughts and twitpics. I'm back Twitter, with a vengeance!

There's Gotta be Something More...

Monday, October 3, 2011

I get home 7:30 the house is dirty, but it can wait
Yeah, 'cause right now I need some downtime
To drink some red wine and celebrate
Armageddon could be knocking at my door
But I ain't gonna answer that's for sure.
There's gotta be something, gotta be something more!

Heard this song on my way home and it describes my mood and day perfectly today.

Love Sugarland.

Happy October!

Welcome to October!

The leaves are changing, the chill is in the air, Halloween is on its way and the most important of all...Playoff Baseball of courseee. First Yankee game was postponed last night due to rain but it continues tonight. Which will of course be a win no doubt.

But the beginning of October also starts another chain of events because soon comes Thanksgiving, Christmas and my best friends wedding!!!

So the change of seasons has a lot of meaning this year and I am very excited to welcome it with pumpkin coffees and apple spice air fresheners. Yes, that is my favorite thing about fall.

Today is also the beginning of the end for the old choldhood house. I have been out since July but we have finally sold it and are waiting for the clothes. Commence going through boxes of childhood memories, repacking, unpacking and organizing. It's bittersweet but it is time to move on from the house and I know my mom couldn't agree more.

So I will be back when the dust has settled and I can emerge from the piles of boxes.

~There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on
the feelings, as now in October.~
