Happy 4th of July!

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Things are a little crazy tunes over here...but never to crazy to take the time to say

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

I am so very patriotic and love America and all my freedom. And that freedom is because of all the men and women that have fought for it. So thank you to each and every one of you!

(Will always love this song)

Hope everyone had a great 4th and I promise to be back full swing next week when this move is FINALLY over!

Happy Memorial Day!

Monday, May 28, 2012

Thank you to all the selfless soldiers past and present that have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. I wouldn't be able to do half the things I do without all your sacrifices.

And I can't say it enough.
Thank you.

May Day! May Day!

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

That's right, it's May 1! And no we aren't in an airplane about to go down.

May Day is an actual day or holiday if you will. Many people don't know about this cute, thoughtful day so I think I will share. Because we all know I love my holidays..little or big.

May Day used to be more of a religious holiday way back in the day but as people became more Christianize, it was soon replaced by Easter. Now it has become a spring festival in some cultures and represents the fertility of spring at this time of year. Birds chirping, flowers growing and trees blooming. And those of us with those lovely seasonal allergies can attest that this is indeed happening.

But the more modern take in the United States states that May Day is about spring kindness. Making up a small basket of treats or flowers and placing them anonymously on your neighbors doorstep hoping you run away before you get kissed.

I was honestly thinking of partaking in the cute little tradition today (minus running away trying not to get kised) because of the previously mentioned neighbor that helped saved many cardboard boxes filled with sentiments in my garage last night. Thank you neighbor for telling me water was trickling out of my garage. Here's some candy.

And we can also thank May 1 being the first day it was made official that we shall no longer be slaves to a 16 hour work day under cruel conditions and we should only work a maximum 8 hours. Hallelujah! Because let's face it, we barely make it through that on a day to day basis.

Head on over to good ole' Wikipedia for how each country celebrates.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Yes, I am a day late but the sentiment is still there :)

I hope the day found you feelin the love all around. Whether it be from your sweetie, friends, family or other special people in your life. I am fortunate to have a lot of special people in my life and I got to spend the past weekend with my sweetie.

We enjoyed a nice dinner out at Rat's restaurant in Hamilton, NJ. The food was quite tasty and I even tried lobster for the first time. The company was very nice too ;) We saw Just Go With It on Saturday and loooked for apartments. All in all a very nice Valentine's weekend with my love.

Remember to always let the ones around you know how much you love them. Not just on Valentine's Day. The world could always use a little more love!

~I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon.~

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!

Friday, January 7, 2011

OOPS.

It seems the holidays got away from me very quickly. And now here we are in a brand new year! Time to start anew and make resolutions that we know we actually want to do so we will keep.

What's your resolution in 2011?

My resolution is to be more organized. Because I will admit everything is chaotic and disorganized right now. Life included. Commence the storage tote buying and post it notes on my computer. It also helps having a sweet new laptop to start my organization on :) Thank you Santa!

Today I started with the Christmas decorations. I sorted ornaments and decorations accordingly. Even ordered myself a storage bag for my tree since the cardboard box it came in has seen better days. I also added more detailed job search emails. This is hopefully going to increase my chances of finding a job. Fingers crossed.

Either way, 2011 feels like it will be a great year. Things are going to happen and when I look back a year from now I can say, "Wow what a year." and it will mean the best thing possible. My years seem to be getting better little by little since my mom has been gone and this year won't be any different. Continue to work my hardest and make sure my mom is smiling down on me.

So remember to always have hope that this year will be better than the last. Because majority of the time it will be.
