Dear husband- 2 years ago you asked a very important question and I said "Yes." 

Only you know my true shock at you popping the question , even if everyone else thought it was happening. You had me convinced I was waiting a longgggg time for the words, "Will you marry me?" to come out of your mouth. But I learned you are always full of surprises.
It has been a wonderful journey the past 2 years obviously leading up to husband and wife. From long distance woes to moving in together and all the wedding planning in between. Love you so much and can't wait for the future and many more surprises!

Show Life That You Have a Thousand Reasons to Smile

Sometimes life is pretty rough. Sometimes it can try to tear you down. I know it's taken a few hits with me. And it will continue to try my patience and strength. But I can't let it get the best of me. And I won't.

This is my absolute favorite quote. You probably have seen it multiple times around the blog. And it's a favorite for me to talk about for Blog Everyday in May.

I love it because there are days when I am "hating life." But that's exactly where I don't want to be. So instead, I have my pity party for a minute then get myself together and put on that smile and remember everything truly great in my life.

Those moments when the ache in my heart from missing my Mom gets me down, I always try to reflect that even though she's not here, she gave me the strength and independence to get me to where I am today. And I have to remember that where I am is not too shabby.

So basically, life sucks sometimes. 

But what's a better day than a day you choose to smile in spite of the rain? And pretty much say," Eff you. I'm smiling today. Because I can."

And these, my friends, are just a few of the thousand reasons I smile everyday.

What My Loved One Says About Me

Last week, I saw Becky announced a great link-up. A chance for our loved one to write a little bit about you. Really get to know you from their perspective.

It took a little coaxing for the fiance to finally agree about an hour ago. So off he went with his task and this my friends, is what my fiance has to say about me.

This guy.

-Krista will always be a country girl at heart.

-She has a lesbian crush on Carrie Underwood. I’m ok with that. Very True.

-9 out of 10, “Transformers” is in her DVD player. 

-Krista watches “Friends” every night like it’s 1999. Ross and Rachel forever.

-Surprisingly, she likes more sports than me (football, baseball and hockey).

-She loves super hero movies, but not Batman. The Joker scares her. What is with that smile?

-Krista has a HUGE heart.

-She has 100 photos on her cell phone, 1 of me and 99 of her cat, Lily.

-Wine is her kryptonite. Give her a glass of wine and she’s the happiest girl in the

world. Wino.

-Krista refers herself as a “MILF in training”. Waiting on my new boobs.

-She can rap Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me”.

-Krista has some sweet dance moves…especially after a couple drinks.

-A juicy steak is her favorite food.

-Most of the time she is a very safe driver, but sometimes I think she’s one of the

characters from “Fast and the Furious”.

-She cherishes her friends and family more than anything in the world. 

-Krista is a crazy cat lady and proud of it. Love me some Lily.

-I don’t think she can live a day without Diet Coke.

-She has a lot of hobbies: blogging, reading, decorating, photography, arts and crafts.

-Krista watches Christmas movies during the summer time. Nothing like a little Christmas Cheer

-She wears crocs. Ugh. Ok, the fashionable ones.

Fun Fact: This is our first Valentine's Day we actually get to see each other in 5 years! Yes, we are a tad bit excited. The wonders of long distance.

It's a college love story. Girl met best friend who lived in another dorm. Hung out there a lot...met boy who lived down the hall...the rest is history!

That would be a trip to the mall. oh young kids.

I am no expert but I would say letting each other be YOU. Still having your own identity and friends is important to being the best BOTH OF YOU  possible.

I don't embarrass easily buttt maybe the things you hide from your significant other but can't when you move in together? (ahem, personal things)

5.) What most attracts you to your SO?

The way he tells me how beautiful I am everyday...even in my sweats and bee hive hair. And his love for my little fur baby, Lily.

7 Years Old!

Today, marks 7 years since these youngins made it official.

Look at those babies!!!


Lots ahead of them and now here we are,
4 months from our wedding day.

The past 7 years have had their ups and their definite downs.
We have grown separately and together to make our love so strong. And make us, as a couple, stronger.

Long distance for 3 years was the true test but with our love and determination we made it work. And I know the same will be true for our marriage.

We make each other better and stronger and I know I couldn't have gotten through the past few years without him by my side.

He is truly my best friend and the one I have the most fun with.
We make each other laugh and sometimes frustrated.

But at the end of the day we love each other unconditionally.

We learn new ways to maneuver through our relationship every day and know we will continue to do that throughout our marriage. And we are still learning about each other everyday. As we have grown, our relationship has grown.

Can't wait to continue our journey to forever in 4 months and have a new anniversary to celebrate.

I love you so much Brian and thank you for making me the happiest girl in the world.

Dear Friday

Dear January-Where in the heck did you go? I cannot believe you are over next week and we are already into February. I don't think you quite understand this whole wedding is coming up too fast business. Slow it down.

Dear Matt Damon- You were absolutely genius on Jimmy Kimmel last night. You can actually crap some jokes and I was impressed. I wouldn't mind you taking over for Jimmy Kimmel. I would actually watch. 

Dear Fiance-Thanks for being the most awesome fiance on the planet. Trash isn't my thing and you get it. 

Dear apartment complex- Please tell me how our pipes froze and you left such a nice note to tell us not to do it again YET you do not heat the laundry facilities one bit. Pretty sure that wasn't in your note on how to keep pipes unfrozen. 

Dear next Thursday-If you could get here like tomorrow that would be superb. I have plans for you.

Friday's Letters

Dear 4 Day Weekend- You were just what I needed. Much needed relaxation and time away from work. recharge my batteries. Can't wait for another one in a month!

Dear 7 Day Diet- Thank you for kicking my butt back in to gear. Literally. It's looking quite good. It was a love/hate relationship for a week but the end results were worth it. I feel much better and healthier! Will see you again before the wedding I'm sure.

Dear wrist-WTF. You hurt like a mother and I am not quite sure why. Please cease and desist.

Dear Lance Armstrong- Your story isn't even top stories on People. (which is what I judge my life on) I think the first clue for everyone was when you were stripped of your titles for doping. So now it's just like well, duh.

Dear wedding- You are coming. And fast. I seem to have everything organized and under control. Please don't throw anything at me last minute. Much appreciated.

Dear hair- Get it together. What is up with this breakage?! I have never had this problem in my life and you decide to give me issues 5 months from my wedding? Not cool. Not cool. Please hold out until June 17th. I promise I will give you a fresh new look :)

Dear iPhone- DO I want you? Do I not want you? I am so torn. You are the older model but it's not a Blackberry. I am just confused and hate making these serious life decisions.

Dear Brian-Thanks for listening to me complain about my diet and hunger the last week. And for the lack of dinners. But at least you have gotten sushi! And of course I love our weekly dance parties. Even if my legs are killing this morning. Love you so.

Last 2012 Friday's Letters!

Can't believe we are already about to embark on another year..where did this year go?! Seriously. It seems like it was a couple weeks ago when I was sitting in my old apartment ringing in 2012 with my two favorites.

Now here we are...at 2013!! So get ready for some year ending Friday's Letters...

Dear Fiance- This year has been a crazy year. Filled with wedding planning galore and the big move in. And I wouldn't have changed any of it. Nope, not even the slight bickering. We knew we had a lot of adjustments to make when we made the move and we will always have adjustments to make and I think it's a great test for our marriage. You have become a wonderful playmate for Lily. She has grown quite fond of you...even stealing my sleeping spot next to you when I leave every morning. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. But it makes me so happy :) Thanks for being so amazing and helping me deal with my emotional moments..and trying to get me to let things out better. I love you so much and am so ready for wedding year!!!!!!!!!

Dear family- I miss you terribly and feel like the past year was the first I have seen the least of my whole family. My childhood and teen years were spent with majority of you and I truly miss that. I know that it is just growing up but I want you all to know I love you very much and wish I could see all of you as much as my heart wants to see you.

Dear friends...near and many far- Same goes for all of you. Majority of you are the farther. Life has become hectic as a grown up causing scarcity in our visits. But please know I still cherish each and every one of your friendships and I truly wish we had all the time in the world to spend together. I miss seeing each of you on a  regular basis and catching up.

Dear bridesmaids- Thank you all for agreeing to stand with me on the most important day of my life. And helping with any wedding tasks and listening to any wedding complaining I might have to do. The next few months will go by so quickly and I am so glad to have you all! And I can't say thank you enough...but THANK YOU!!

Dear self- This year you made a big move and left your hometown. Switched jobs in a new area that this country gal just isn't used to. Helped your best friend celebrate her wedding festivities with a great bridal shower, fun bachelorette party and awesome bridesmaid speech (if you say so yourself) Did a good chunk of planning your wedding . To say you did it stress free would be a lie. But with all the changes and fun things going on, you have learned to adapt. Change was never your favorite but you will get it. In time things will come. You just have to keep reminding yourself that. And things do happen for a reason.

Dear Lily-Thanks for being such a special part of our lives. I love being a crazy cat lady and I am glad that I have some crazy cat lady friends to share in the joy of being a cat owner. Here's to another fun year with you

 Dear blog-2013 will be your big year...get ready for bright changes!! More frequent posting and more on the spot feeling postings. Going back to the original workings of the blog and why I started blogging. Hope you are all ready to start to SEE some of the changes ;)

Dear 2013/26 year old me- Get ready. I'm coming for you! It's wedding year and we couldn't be more excited!! You will be a year of many great things...not just marriage. We will get to commit our lives to each other, enjoy a week and a half of relaxation and hopefully a few other changes will be coming our way. No, not babies, people. Give us some time.

I am determined to have some great resolutions that I actually work on. Changes I need to work on for myself, Brian and our marriage (eekkk!!) And I changes I want to make for myself to move myself forward. 

Dear birthday-Thanks for showing up on a weekend, But no thanks to my work schedule. No birthday weekend for me :( Can we do a repeat of last year though?? Happy 1st Anniversary to one of my favorite couples :) Love you both!

Welcome to quarter life mister. It isn't all that bad. I mean I've had the total of 9 months experience with it. But if you have a quarter life crisis, I won't judge. But I might judge you for the fact you have played every song this morning that has to do with birthdays....

I am so happy we get to spend a full birthday together! Even if we both seem to be coming down with the sniffle...what's up with that? Wonder what wonderful things we will do?! HMMMMMM.

So thankful you were born on this day because that means you are here! And it also means you get to be the awesomest fiance to me and I am so very lucky. Thank you for everything you do and for being so wonderful. I have had my difficulties with the move but you have made it so much easier and I love you so much for that. Lily also has quite the soft spot for you I think. I mean she has no problem taking my bed spot to snuggle with you.

I am pretty positive 25 will a great year for you. Just a feeling I get ;) And I can't wait for many more birthdays together!

Dear Pumpkin Coffee-Thank you for coming back. I have missed you this past year and it I couldn't be happier to have my addiction back.

Dear friends- The ones near and far, if you could all just come stay here for a week that would be great. I would very much love for you all to be in the same place at one time. Is that selfish? Pretty much yea. Just miss you all!

Dear next Friday- Get here faster!! I can not wait much longer and I am so excited for the Greene wedding I can hardly contain myself!! I can not promise to not cry like a baby watching you two lovebirds tie the not nor can I not promise to be tearing up the dance floor all night.

Dear America-Please take the time tonight to donate to Stand up to Cancer. You can help support the fight for a cure. I may sound like a broken record but I stand up, do you?

Gettin' down on Friday! Why you ask? Because I have ANOTHER weekend off! If you know me and what I do, then you know how miraculous it is. And how much I love it. Anywhoooo....to my Friday's letters!


Dear Week: Thank you for being over. Because I am pretty sure you were the longest one ever. Do I exaggerate? Yes. But I am still convinced you sneaked in hours somewhere.

Dear Wedding Dress: I think I might have found you...and I am sooo excited!!! However, you know me and my indecisiveness means at least 3 more trips to various stores just to verify my decision. Can't wait!

Dear fiance: You are the best ever. Seriously. You made me lunch twice this week, emptied and loaded the dishwasher andddd dealt with my space issues. Pretty soon you will be the best hubby ever!!! And maybe I will pick up some wifey skills somewhere in there.

Dearest Steph: I hope you loved your shower and it was everything you hoped it would be. I had such a great time and am always so honored to be your maid of honor

Dear Kristen: Safe travels back to Cali! (that is IF you found out when you actually leave ;) I will miss you as always and I am so lucky I got to see not once but TWICE!! You best believe I will be Facetiming you in very soon!

Dear Iphone 5: I was really looking forward to owning you. But seeing as your price is the equivalent of all my bills for once month, I might have to pass.

Friday's Letters

Dear Grey's Anatomy- What are you doing to me!? I can't believe the season finale ended that way and we still don't really know for sure who died. I see through you Shonda Rhimes. I'm still not totally convinced Lexie is dead. And I must say even though it was fake blood and bones...holy moly. Still made me a little nauseous. Dear Fiance-Great job being awesome :) I know you will kill it on Tuesday and then maybe we can figure out where we will actually being going in a month. Dear 2 day Detox-I'm not entirely sure if you really helped or not. I did not feel any different. Well, except for the fact that I was really hungry. I did though develop a real fondness for smoothies so I might just continue that for my breakfast. Dear exercise routine-If you could make yourself that would be wonderful. And help me get rid of these jiggly thighs before bikini season. Much thanks. Dear coffee- I definitely missed you for two days and will never give you up again.
