Lunch Hour Workout Refresh with Evian

If you're anything like me, there are some days when my snooze button sees more than its fair share. Not wanting to let my workouts go, I have to squeeze my workout into my lunch hour. Seeing as its in my lunch hour, it has to be a quick, intense workout. That alos means I am aced with intense hair and red face. Anyone else? These are the 5 things that help me get my workout in and get back to work looking refreshed.

I wipe my face really quick before my workout, eyes not included. This allows my pores to breathe but doesn't get rid of my eye makeup. That way, I really only need to to touch up my eye makeup and add foundation to be office ready.

After being lucky enough to try this out, I can say it's not as silly as it might sound. A quick spritz mid workout works wonders as it cools me down enough to keep going. Getting Fit with Dove Advanced Care

It's no surprise that I have been working on getting healthier this year. Just check my Instagram and my 2015 goals. I am one of those that has been posting my "healthy" food, workouts and "You can do it!" quotes. You will also see that I have completed the 21 Day Fix. My thoughts? Does it work?

They say all it takes is 21 days. 21 days to change habits and develop new ones. 21 days to change yourself. When it's put like that, it makes it obtainable. Makes it a goal I wanted to do. 

As I have previously mentioned a time or two, I have put on some unwanted pounds since switching jobs and I needed to change my eating habits. Less carbs, more veggies. That's exactly what the 21 day diet is about.

You receive different colored containers and follow a specific plan for calorie intake. You know how many containers you are supposed to have each day. It's absolutely essential that you meal prep since you need to make sure all your containers last you throughout the day. The first week was hard but by the third week, it became easier to know what snacks, lunches were what containers. Dinners also became easier as I was preparing ahead of time.

Was it worth it? Was I able to finish?

Going out to eat has changed. I am aware of what I am ordering. I find myself calculating the containers in my head of what each meal is. I still meal plan with salads being most of my lunches and broccoli in every dinner and multiple snacks a day. Spinach in my protein shakes and maybe adding a dash into my eggs with a topping of cheese.

At the end of the 21 Day Fix, I started on the Tone It Up Bikini Series. I have been doing pretty well following the workouts. There have a been a few days that I might opt for a later workout instead of an early morning one.

I like that the workouts are different but there is a schedule for me. It tells me what workout to do and what strength exercises to do with the cardio. If I had a little more of a budget, I would order the nutrition plan because being told what to eat would be a HUGE help for me. Basically, I need someone telling me what to do with everything.

After a full month, I am finally starting to see results in my body. My abs might start peaking out soon and my legs feel more toned. I am really excited and proud of myself for how far I have come in just a few months.

Who Ya Calling Four Eyes?

I have worn glasses for the majority of my life. Started at the young age of 5, with bright red, rimmed glasses. Definitely not a fashion statement and not a fan of these things on my face.

I really didn't enjoy wearing my glasses so I didn't. They would go in my backpack to school with me but were never worn in school. Then, the doctor told me I had to wear them all the time, not just for reading anymore because my eyes had gotten worse. No idea how that could have happened.

So I wore them. Thought I liked them for awhile. But then I became a teenager that wanted to be cool. Glasses weren't cool. Again, I didn't wear my glasses. Like a huge bratty teenager, I told my mom I wanted contacts and wouldn't wear my glasses.

Contacts were a whole new world. Allowed me to actually see without the chunky glasses on my face. And the makeup I was just starting to use could be seen much better with contacts.

Contacts are still the best thing in the world. Have you ever ran with glasses? My least favorite thing. But there are days where I want glasses to wear most days. I need to give my eyes a break, plus glasses are a great accessory.

It is no secret I love my coffee, wine and tea. It is also no secret that these are all culprits of getting icky, yellow teeth so I am always on the look out for easy teeth whitening products.

I was lucky enough to receive the Colgate VoxBox from Influenster that included the new Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen. Now, that's a mouthful but it can be broken down in 3 easy steps.

Brush

The Colgate Optic White toothbrush has special polishing bristles that aid in stain removal. Can be used with any toothpaste you choose but I would say, bonus points for using Colgate Optic White.


Whiten

Turn the dial at the bottom of the whitening pen and apply gel. It takes very little time to brush all around your teeth with the whitening bristle. There is also no need to wait that dreaded half hour before you can even drink.


Go!

The pen stores very conveniently inside the brush. Just snap in and off you go. Yes, it's as easy as it sounds.



Overall, this is such an easy way to be able to whiten your teeth. No strips to fuss around with and you literally can't forget when it's in your toothbrush! However, the gel did become a little clumpy at some points which made it uncomfortable on my tetth.

I also missed my usual toothbrush. I have been electric toothbrush user for well over 10 years. So having to use a regualar toothrbush was a little out of the norm for me. For that reason alone, I will not continue to use this but will finish the whitening gel. I did notice a slight difference in my teeth color after 2 days just like they promised. Is it enough for strangers to compliment me on my white teeth? Definitely not. But who knows what could happen after a couple of weeks.

Overall, a great travel brush for me. And if you are a manual toothbrush user, this could be a great option for you. Now, if they make an electric toothbrush with whitening, I'm all in!

Curel Intensive Healing Cream {Review}

I have always been blessed with dry skin on my hands. And by blessed, I mean plagued.

 If I forget lotion one day they start to get that stiff feeling of all kinds of uncomfortable. Lucky me. I have a few creams and ointments I have as go to but am always excited to try new ones out. 

Especially when it gets serious up in these hands.

Are you a runner who constantly has knee pain? Or someone who is on their feet a all day and comes home with achy hips? No? So it's just me.

In the case that, that isn't true let me tell you about a product you have to try.

Needless to say, I developed a definite gimp and never really got it straightened out. So when I run or I'm on my feet all day, I come home with more pain than a 26 year old should. 

I've tried sneakers upon sneakers to fix my pain and finally just accepted it. But now I was given the light into these beauties. What makes them different? 

They have a hard plastic for your arch. Which I'm told is the problem for most knee problems. So pretty much the best arch support you can get from an insole. 

And on top of that, it has great shock protection. I didn't have that harsh hitting of the pavement. Yes, I could still feel it but not as intense. That makes it great for cushioning my cartilage less knee. 

Of course I must address the fact that they are pink for women. Really dresses up the inside of that sneaker I tell ya. And they are so easy to cut and fit to your shoe size. 

Basically, I recommend this to all runners and anyone that suffers from knee or hip pain. Please do not judge me for having hip pain at 26.
