What Happens on Your First New Year Trip to Target

Thursday, January 28, 2016

You always have to start at the Dollar Spot. Some of the cutest things you can find and probably don't need. That's how they get you. Do I need this small planner? Most likely not, but so cute. And this little sign is the perfect for what I have been shopping for.

Take a stroll down to the clearance section. But don't stray too far from the clearance section otherwise you'll end up in maternity. It happens. One minute your at the rack with the 30% off at the top and the next you are falling in love with a maternity shirt.

Contemplate getting some new workout clothes for your resolution to work out more. You decide maybe not. Does it ever work? Trying to stick to my budget and right now, my workout wardrobe will fit my mediocre workout schedule.

Pick up a nice seasonal item. We all know Target holiday decor steals the show. I feel a nice Valentine's day tree coming up.

Stop for the derma e® Firming DMAE Eye Lift with Instalift® Goji Berry Glycopeptides. Visibly lift, firm and tighten the delicate eye area while smoothing crow’s feet with this doctor-developed, multi-action eye treatment crème that contains advanced, clinically proven natural ingredients
I know I was excited to try this out, even my age of 29, my eyes seem to be plagued with the constant under eye circles and baggage. It was easy to use and I noticed a slight difference after using for a few days. You can also shop for the New derma e®  line now available at Target.

No Target trip is complete without something for the little pet in our lives, Lily. They get us cat and dog lovers with their holiday themed toys. Lily has many we switch in and out depending on the holiday.

Try not to buy anything at the check-out. I dare you. Especially when they have $5 DVDs. I mean, how can I not purchase Crazy in Love? Ryan Gosling's abs, hello there.

What does your trips to Target look like?

Getting my Life in Order

Sunday, January 24, 2016

Oh hey. Look at me showing up here to write something. It's been a bit since I've sat here and just wrote.

Truth is I'm getting my life together. Meaning I have a lot going on right now and I am trying to organize everything.

Starting a new job is exciting but nerve wracking. It can do a real number on anxiety. I have my new wardrobe. I have hope for my new role and future for the company. But there's that awkward first few weeks I still have to get over.

This blog. I have thought for some time about changing my brand. Even last year I was leaning towards new name but decided a new look. But I now see a new direction coming by March. This means a little flux for the next month or so why I switch and get situated. Fingers crossed it will be my forever home for my blog.

My Health. It's kind of wonky and I am not sure why. Turns out at 29 I have thyroid issues. Before babies. There is a nice lump hanging out on my neck that has been biopsied and wasn't supposed to grow but it has. That means more tests, figuring out why it is.

I've got a severe case of TMJ. At least severe to me. My jaw barely moves open and chewing on my right side is not a fun task. I went on ibuprofen for 3 days, pain gone I felt fantastic. Not off of for even 34 hours and it came back with a force. Said anxiety does not help the situation. I probably have anxiety filled dreams and clench my rethink. Not surprised.

This is all swirling in my head right now. All of this. I just want to wake up in no pain. Have no anxiety. It makes me love home and my bed a little too much. Too much where I would rather be at home than go pretty much anywhere. And yoga pretty much bores. Sorry, but I;ve tried and I just can't get on bored. I much more about the running and Zumba.

So. As you can see, lots going on. But on a positive note, I started reading, "I Am" by Joel Osteen and I am loving it. See what I did there? It's all about bringing the positive into your life by what you speak out loud.

I am going to get rid of this TMJ and be my thyroid will be fine.

This new job will challenge me and help me grow and I will excel at it.

I am going to succeed in my It Works business. I am diamond.

This blog will have life brought back into it when I go through all the changes. It will be my outlet to write once again.

That is what I'm prophesying. Hang tight everyone!

I'll Tell You About it When I See You Again

Tuesday, January 12, 2016

It's been a long road without you Mom.
I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
I've come a long way since we said goodbye
Oh I'll tell you about it when I see you again.

Who knew with all the memories yet to make
That I'd be standing right here
Talking to you about my path
Know we loved to hit the mall and laugh
But no one could have told me that it wouldn't last
Had to say goodbye way too soon.
Those were the days, now they say you are in a better place

How could I not talk about the family you have left behind when the family's all missing you
Everything I went through, Mom, you were standing there by my side
And now, you are looking from above.

It's been a long road without you Mom.
I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
I've come a long way since we said goodbye
Oh I'll tell you about it when I see you again.

First, it was baby cries
And then scraped knees and then what's
Small turn to friendship, a friendship
Formed from a mother/daughter bond that will never
Be broken and the love I have for you will never get lost
And when no one understood you were the one
That told me how it was
You were the one that lifted me up and the one that helped
Me reach further so I will always miss you when you're gone

How could I not talk about the family you have left behind when the family's all missing you
Everything I went through, Mom, you were standing there by my side
And now, you are looking from above.

So let the light guide your way, Ill hold every memory
Here even when you go and every road I take I hope it leads me to you being proud.

Fridays Letters

First week of the year down. No complaints here except for maybe one or two I added below. It's been a good year so far, let's keep it up 2016!

Dear People's Choice Award
Favorite moments include Dakota Johnson not being worried about her wardrobe malfunction because everyone has seen her boobs. Ellen receiving the Humanitarian award and giving us Chris Hemsworth's and in return. Vin Diesel accepting the Fast 7 award and singing and having me all 😿

Dear Tatums
Just stop being so adorable. And I fell for the painted on abs Jenna.

Dear ear
Get a hold of yourself and stop hurting. What did I ever do to you? I make sure the volume of the tv is turned down and clean you regularly. Please be nice to me.

Dear Powerball
Come at me. I'll take a million, doesn't have to be the whole thing. I can share some of the $800 million.

Dear husband
Kissy face. Heart emoji love you!

Happy Weekend everyone!

2016 Goals

Monday, January 4, 2016

 New Years Resolutions aren't really my thing, I am more of a year goal person. It helps keep me on track just a little bit better. I did well with my goals for 2015, they were attainable and I made progress. This year, I want to go a little more out of my comfort zone.

//Be intentional with my time
There are so many nights, Saturday mornings I find myself idling on my phone with Pinterest or some other app. I realized how much time I waste doing that. I need to plan my time for self-development, time for my businesses, time for my husband.

//Take more videos
This is something I have talked about for awhile but never really took action. This will be the year I at least document half of our lives this year. I like the little tidbits to look back on.

//More consistent date nights
We don't "plan" these. They kind of just happen. And they are far less consistent than I would like. A night where we go out, try something new or stay in but there aren't phones glued to our faces.

//Go Ruby, Then Emerald
I have my running shoes on for It Works Global. I have to get out of my comfort zone,which is hard being an introvert. I like that this will push my limits. And once I hit Ruby, I'm going past that right to Emerald!

//Study more of the bible
This was something I did more of in the end of 2015 but want to really five in. I have started the year with Genesis from She Reads Truth to help me with this goal this year.

//Buy a house
renting has been fun. I mean, when my water heater broke at 8 o'clock at night I just had to call my landlord and he dealt with everything while I chowed down on pizza. Same with when our dryer broke. It was nice but I'm ready to have some roots. Ready to Pinterest the crap outta our own place.

//Use my planner
Last year, I bought a planner, lined out all my events for the year, scheduled blog posts, family functions, etc. I didn't use it all of maybe 2 months then it collected dust in the bookshelf the rest of the year. Being able to use the planner will also help me with my number 1 goal, so win in.

//Workout at least 4 times a week
I was working out every single day from May-October. I mean 7 days a week on the treadmill or outside or doing a Tone it Up workout. But then I had a bacterial infection, followed by 2 bouts of antibiotics, a wonky thyroid and sinus issues and that number dropped dramatically. I'm talking 2 a week, if I'm lucky. Now that I feel like my health is going towards better in 2016, I want to get back to at least 5 times a week. I can take a day off a couple of times a week.

//Be a better wife
This is a never ending goal. I can improve year after year. I can grow in my role and learn every year we are married. I always want to improve in this area to strengthen my marriage.

I think these are all good goals that develop me as a person and can help me grow in 2016. What are your 2016 goals?
