2016 Goals

Monday, January 4, 2016

 New Years Resolutions aren't really my thing, I am more of a year goal person. It helps keep me on track just a little bit better. I did well with my goals for 2015, they were attainable and I made progress. This year, I want to go a little more out of my comfort zone.

//Be intentional with my time
There are so many nights, Saturday mornings I find myself idling on my phone with Pinterest or some other app. I realized how much time I waste doing that. I need to plan my time for self-development, time for my businesses, time for my husband.

//Take more videos
This is something I have talked about for awhile but never really took action. This will be the year I at least document half of our lives this year. I like the little tidbits to look back on.

//More consistent date nights
We don't "plan" these. They kind of just happen. And they are far less consistent than I would like. A night where we go out, try something new or stay in but there aren't phones glued to our faces.

//Go Ruby, Then Emerald
I have my running shoes on for It Works Global. I have to get out of my comfort zone,which is hard being an introvert. I like that this will push my limits. And once I hit Ruby, I'm going past that right to Emerald!

//Study more of the bible
This was something I did more of in the end of 2015 but want to really five in. I have started the year with Genesis from She Reads Truth to help me with this goal this year.

//Buy a house
renting has been fun. I mean, when my water heater broke at 8 o'clock at night I just had to call my landlord and he dealt with everything while I chowed down on pizza. Same with when our dryer broke. It was nice but I'm ready to have some roots. Ready to Pinterest the crap outta our own place.

//Use my planner
Last year, I bought a planner, lined out all my events for the year, scheduled blog posts, family functions, etc. I didn't use it all of maybe 2 months then it collected dust in the bookshelf the rest of the year. Being able to use the planner will also help me with my number 1 goal, so win in.

//Workout at least 4 times a week
I was working out every single day from May-October. I mean 7 days a week on the treadmill or outside or doing a Tone it Up workout. But then I had a bacterial infection, followed by 2 bouts of antibiotics, a wonky thyroid and sinus issues and that number dropped dramatically. I'm talking 2 a week, if I'm lucky. Now that I feel like my health is going towards better in 2016, I want to get back to at least 5 times a week. I can take a day off a couple of times a week.

//Be a better wife
This is a never ending goal. I can improve year after year. I can grow in my role and learn every year we are married. I always want to improve in this area to strengthen my marriage.

I think these are all good goals that develop me as a person and can help me grow in 2016. What are your 2016 goals?
