Tour Through Blogland

Thursday, January 15, 2015

I have shown up today to give you a little tour through my blog land. Thank you to Samantha at The Samantha Life for letting me do this.

What am I working on?

Finishing up the New Year's Resolution Swap Box, my editorial calendar and really locking down some great sponsors and opportunities for this year.Basically, time to kick this blog in gear Hence, the lack of posts on my part. The planning has taken over.

How does my work differ from others in its genre?

What's my genre? I guess, lifestyle. What i hope sets me apart is my own voice. I might tell the same story but in a different way or with a different perspective. I hope that my work touches people.

Why do I write/create what I do?

I write for me, for comfort some days. I also write to touch other people, connect with people in a way that's different for them. I also want to use this blog as a space to document my life to be able to look back on it. I know those are not always the most popular posts but it's something I want to stay true to.

How does my writing/creative process work?

Half the time it's whatever pops in my crazy head. Some other times it's in reference to what's going on in the world or what I think others might benefit from. This is exactly why I am trying my hardest to get my editorial calendar down and plan out my posts. That way they aren't all over the place.

Thanks for coming along on my tour. If you're interested, I will be showing behind the scenes of my day over at BlogLife101 on Instagram.

I would now like to pass it off to these fabulous ladies

  1. I love that you said you write for comfort on some days. I do that too. Sometimes I just feel the need to sit down and write. It relaxes me and helps me destress.

  3. Those are the posts that sometimes turn out to be the most popular too. It's a great way to connect with other readers when they feel the same way as you and they don't feel so along.

  4. I always love learning more about people and their processes. That's how we grow, right? Not that mine are anywhere near other bloggers, I mean I don't even have an editorial calendar.
