The good ole' vacation

It is time to catch up with the wonderful vacation I went on with Brian. It was a 3 day trip to Baltimore and it was lovely.

Had a few snafus in the beginning (Brian forgot his dress clothes for a fancy dinner so an impromptu shopping spree ensued) but it all ironed itself out.

Friday we went to a nice dinner at The Capital Grill. We stumbled our way through a super fancy dinner, clearly out of our environment. Definitely a learning experience and the food was quite delicious. From there we went to Best Buy. Yup took a trip to Best Buy because I forgot to switch memory cards. I ended up getting a sweet deal on a memory card. 4G for $13! That is over 1400 pictures I can fit on that baby. Truly wonderful.

Later that night we took a walk around the harbor. Truly wonderful. Saw a street performer and then had a late night snack of spinach artichoke dip and wine. Peaceful and relaxing for sure.

Saturday was the day we went to the National Aquarium! We were actually super excited for this part. With our VIP tickets, we went in around 11. Had a surprise picture taken and started our journey through the aquarium. First, was the 4D show, which included snow, rain, steam and even felt a little bite from a shark (!) Lunch was next of salads and some tasty beverages.

The dolphin show was next which is my super fave. I loveeee dolphins! And it did not disappoint. There were jumps and flips and waves. Jut super cute.

The real tour came after this. We saw stingrays, sharks, went to Australia and the rainforest! Oh and there were a lot of fish. Who would have thought? An aquarium has fish? We soon realized an aquarium wasn't exactly our thing, but maybe a zoo next time haha

That night we had dinner at Hard Rock then went out to a very interesting restaurant, Dick's Last Resort. Where it is aptly named. I lasted only an hour before we moved on to Houlihan's for some alte night drinks.

Alas, then Sunday came, time for us to part ways with Baltimore. A paddle boat was hoped to be fit in before we left but the downpours we saw when we awoke dispelled that thought. So breakfast and packing and we were on the rode back to Jersey.

Thus was our little vacation. Relaxing and nice to get away with Brian. Can't wait for many more vacations:)
